My name is Allison Ferrer and this is my 12^th year as a Media Coordinator and 4^th  year at Furr. I’m married to a native Spanish language speaker and we have one two year-old son named Marco. My favorite thing to do is read books aloud to my son and students and get them involved in the story. I love making each character have a unique voice and read their dialogue with their own expression/personality. I also love learning new things and helping everyone find at least one book they love in whatever format they choose to read it in.

Our Battle of the Books club currently meets on Tuesdays after school until 4:00 pm. We are currently learning more about the Battle of the Books program and exploring all of the different titles. Try outs for our competition team will be in December. • February 24^th  – 1^st round of the EBOB competition (virtual)
• Additional practices will be added if we make it in the top 10
• March 27^th - Final round in person for the top 10 teams
