Welcome to Carl A. Furr Elementary School. I am excited to be a part of the Furr community and look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and the community while we work together to achieve student success. I began my career with Cabarrus County Schools in 2006. I served as an Exceptional Children's teacher previously at Concord Middle School and Hickory Ridge Middle School. I began my administrative career as an assistant principal at Central Cabarrus High School in 2014 and then transitioned to Rocky River Elementary in 2019. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College and my master’s degree from Wingate University. I am originally from upstate New York and currently live in Midland with my husband, two boys, and sweet cat. I am looking forwarding to a wonderful school year. I am honored to be joining the Carl A. Furr Elementary School family this year.  Prior to my time at Furr, I served as an Assistant Principal at AT Allen Elementary.

I look forward to meeting and working with all the scholars and families to support the strong academic program at Carl A. Furr Elementary.

Mrs. Tiffane Maltba, Assistant Principal

I have been a part of the Furr family for several years.  At Furr, I have taught 3^rd and 5^th grade and am now serving as the Assistant Principal. I love everything about our Furr family, the students, the families, our staff, everything.  It has been my honor to serve this community.  I have a BA in Education from Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA. In May 2017, I graduated from Gardner-Webb University with my Masters in Executive Leadership. I live in Concord, NC but I am originally from Montoursville, PA.  I am married and we have one daughter named Carlee.  She attended Furr, and now is attending NC State.  We also have two dogs, named Smitty and Teddy, both named after former Carolina Panthers players. Outside of school, I enjoy time with family and friends and walking.
